Jam and marmalade are thick, sticky products that contain fruit pieces. Nozzle bore and filling method are chosen for each product so that the pieces are not crushed and the jar neck stays clean. The Türesan jam filling machine is designed for jars and portion cups.
Filling products with pieces
- Volumetric filling: a servo-controlled piston measures the product with fruit pieces by volume.
- Wide-bore nozzle and valve: prevent pieces from jamming or being crushed.
- Jar capping: twist-off jar lids are closed at a constant torque with servo torque capping.
The same line can be adapted to marmalade, spreads and honey jars.

Hygiene
All product-contact surfaces are AISI 316L stainless steel, and the balance tank can be cleaned in place (C.I.P.). Parts that can be removed without tools shorten cleaning and product changeovers. For hygiene criteria on food lines, see our food and beverage page.
Capping and the line
For capping, gripper, three-ball, pick & place, flat clamping, rolling and press systems are available, driven by servo torque, asynchronous motor, mechanical torque or air motor. Caps are fed to the station by an elevator, vibratory bowl or rotary table. On a fully automatic line, the bottle feeding table, air bottle cleaning, filling, capping, labelling, check weigher, metal detector and inkjet date coding run in sync on the same conveyor.
For portion jam and honey, the linear filling and closing machine handles cup feeding, filling, foil sealing and date coding on one machine.
